Rules on sexual conduct for humanitarian workers

Translators without Borders has worked with the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) to help prevent sexual exploitation and abuse in humanitarian contexts. Together we have created a plain language version of the principles, and we are now translating them into 100-plus languages. This will help aid workers and community members access the principles in their own language. Click here to learn more about the principles to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).

Please download, share, and post these guidelines in humanitarian facilities worldwide.

In September 2019 Principle #4 was amended. We are working with IASC to develop a new plain language version of the amendment and to update the translations. At present, the translations represent the previous version of that principle. We look forward to bringing the updated versions to you soon.

For now, we do have the updated versions in the following languages: Albanian, Bulgarian, English, German, Hungarian, Romanian, Russian, Seraiki, Sindhi, and Ukrainian.

If you have feedback on the translations, or can provide additional language versions, contact [email protected].
