In her role as Community and Translations Manager, Stella will lead the quality, community, recruitment and translation teams, supporting TWB’s community of translators and overseeing the core translation work completed in Kató, TWB’s translation platform. This leadership will ensure that TWB’s work continues to be innovative, providing high-quality language support to humanitarian and development organizations worldwide.

TWB developed its unique community of global translators following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. By recruiting and working with over 28,000 translators worldwide, TWB helps provide translation support in over 192 language pairs.
The TWB community has translated over 66 million words through TWB’s translation platform Katò, first developed in 2011. TWB’s language and translation technology continues to evolve to meet global language needs, and now includes integration with machine translation, translation memory, terminology management and enhanced quality assurance tools. The organization has also developed innovative mobile solutions and offline tools that can be used in the field in humanitarian crises.
